Saturday Roll Call
Good Morning PA:
Last night got a call from my brother, dad was admitted to the hospital. Went to NJ to see dad, he's not looking well. He has CHF, is having trouble breathing, his body is full of fluids, and his bladder is failing. Spoke to nursing staff, they have to put him on a regiment of medication to help remove the fluids from his body, at this point they expect him to be in the hospital about 4 days. As his CHF gets worse this will become more and more frequent, his body retaining fluids, going to the hospital to have it flushed out, then home and the cycle will keep repeating itself until dad's body is ready to give out. Dad looks and sounds very tired. He said he's tired of not being able to do as he had.
Today is my CPC exam. Getting ready to head out for the exam, starts at 9am I have 5 hrs and 40 min to complete.
After the exam will probably head over to Jersey to check in on dad. Then home to try to work on my presentation for Monday night. I'm still procastinating on that one. Have to get myself to the point of getting it done.

Oh, Ida, I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. I will put him and you on my prayer list. I am sure the stress of everything does not help with your studies.
Today, I will walk Utley and then head over to church to finish preparations on the bridal shower we are having for my sis-in-law. She was married to my brother, who died three years ago after knee surgery. Last summer, she renewed her friendship with a guy she met in elementary school, and grew up with. We are expecting about 55 women at the church this afternoon.
Then, tonight, I will probably be playing Scrabble with Mom. I squirmed out of it a couple of nights this week already, due to not feeling well. Not sure I can do that again today.

Today's plans are housework this morning, maybe a few yard sales then headed to my parents for dinner later. Chris is going to work this morning then beerfest with a friend this afternoon
Today has me up and getting ready for my last Sisterhood Shabbat as president. My speech is written and I have reviewed the Torah portion. I don't know it perfectly but I will repeat it at least 10,000 more times between now and the time I have to chant it. I'll be fine.
After services, I have to go to the bank and to get gas, then home to relax. I believe Siehara and her friend are going to hang at the pool. I was going to go over there, but may just stay here and nap. This evening I am headed to a BBQ with a friend of mine who is hanging with me for awhile. It should be fun, but also likely a late night.
Tomorrow I have the Bat Mitzvah party to go to. The service/dinner last night was quite different than what I am used to at my synagogue. But, it was really beautiful and showed me a whole different side of Judaism.

Today I am going to the Barix meeting. Afterwards may hit the Goodwill/Salvation Army store down the street from Barix. I can't remember if it's Goodwill or Salvation Army. Anyway, after that coming home to do some regular Saturday chores and spend some time with the hubby.

Ida, sorry to hear about your dad! My dad has been in and out of the hospital in the last couple of years with pneumonia, CHF, MRSA, etc...so I feel your pain! It is so difficult to see them suffering!!
Today I am going to Barix to celebrate my two year surgiversary with my support peeps!! Afterward, I may go to Goodwill with Cyd to see what I can find. Then food shopping because there is NOTHING to eat!! After that, I have to go out to get camp stuff for Dee's camporee next weekend. OMG! My head was spinning with all the stuff that needs to be packed and how they want it packed!! Yes, they want it packed a certain way?!? They want all their outfits packed in separate ziploc bags, clothes labeled, bags labeled, etc....YIKES!! The rest of the night I think we will just chill....

I'm getting ready to drop my nephew at work then I'm heading out to Lancaster to do some shopping. dinner tonight with friends and possibly some housework in between? We'll see about that - or exercise - yeah that would be better.
